Life’s the Pits is a candid look at midlife antics and the rescue story of Carl and Violet. A glance into an unlikely duo who have made midlife an unexpected pleasure. Both were at the shelter at three years of age adopted six months apart. Most people would assume there was an issue, but both proved to be sweet and became the best of pals. Midlife can make some of us cynical if you aren’t careful. But most of it can be comedic if you find the humor in life’s pitfalls. Carl and Violet taught me to be happy no matter what life throws at you. I love the breed, but I am not here to convince everyone they need one. More to change the stigma around them. It doesn’t matter how life treats you, keep coming at life with a smile and tenacity. Be strong, play in the grass barefoot, and be the exact opposite of what people expect you to be.

Hey all, my name is Teresa. I am 50 something woman trying to survive this parachute ride we call life. I am momma to a 25-year-old daughter (Jenna) and a 20-year-old son (Eddie). Carl and Violet are my fur babies that sparked this blog and my creative side. I am a graphic designer originally but have spent the last 15 years in the financial industry.
